This new section that runs alongside of Cascade Creek is going to be some of the most scenic yet!  For those not already in the know, there is a preview ride next saturday of the Autodrop Doubleshot course.  We will be riding two laps of the mtb course, then heading out on road bikes to check out the road course. Somehow the weather decided to be fantastic 70 degrees in January...amazing!  We set out with the goal of riding some of the road course for the upcoming Doubleshot. Just as we were leaving my place a slight drizzle started, but a quick check of the radar let us know it was just a passing shower.  We continued with the plans of hitting MST, and were glad we did. We decided to meet up and check out the new Hurt, Pain and Agony route.  With construction on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the organizers had to cut out Mahogany Rock and add in some other roads. She's nearing the end of her classes, and has worked ahead so she had the day free from studying!  We opted for a fairly long loop, somwhere in the neighborhood of seven miles.  We tagged Wolf Rock, Cedar Rock, and Stone Mountain Falls as well as some other cool places.
