Got out today with a crew of about 8-10 for a good session of trailwork. This new section that runs alongside of Cascade Creek is going to be some of the most scenic yet! E-rich and I hit the Moore's Springs Trails tonight. Just as we were leaving my place a slight drizzle started, but a quick check of the radar let us know it was just a passing shower. So, I was able to convince a couple of other teachers that I work with to ride in with me. The goal was to make it doable, but still save some gas and whatnot, so we met up and left from my buddy Andrew's house. Our student's were impressed, and a number of them said to me that they would like to start riding in. The community that I teach in is, as far as exercise goes, lethargic at best.

I just got back from the annual 8th grade field trip to Wilmington. Yup, just what the title says. Managed to get in 40 miles between family festivities yesterday. It's a little easier to break the 20mph average here in Indiana than in NC, got in the 40 in just under two hours of riding time.

Lisa and I and my parents went out on Btown last night, and got the chance to do some post-Christmas shopping. We made a stop in at one of my favorite places here in Bloomington, Revolution Bike and Bean. I scored a great deal on some Mavic shoes and picked up some coffee beans...hooray!

For all the lack of posts recently, I have been occupying my time. Family pandemonium ensued in Ohio, and now that we are in Indiana we are visiting the other side of the family. A great winter training ride is in the books. Right about 70 miles with 6100 feet of climbing.
